Membership
Welcome to the South County Family YMCA! Membership at our YMCA entitles you to a wide variety of fitness options, family recreation, sports opportunities and child care.
In addition to a full schedule of exercise classes, our facilities boast modern, user-friendly equipment, Olympic free weight areas, swimming pools and Jacuzzis and highly-trained and certified staff instructors. Our fitness programs are designed to meet individual needs of cardiovascular health, muscular strength and endurance, optimal weight management, stress reduction, and nutrition information while fulfilling members’ expectations of high quality and value.
ChildWatch services are available to members needing childcare while they enjoy the facilities. School age children and teens are able to enjoy many different activities including gymnastics, swimming and the Sarasota Sharks Swim Team, sports programs, leagues and summer camps.
Membership Benefits
The South County Family YMCA is a membership organization. When you belong to the YMCA, you share in the values and mission the YMCA has offered its members since its inception in 1844. Our branches offer the following membership benefits:
- Personal Coaching Program offered free to each family member upon joining. Three sessions with a certified personal trainer orients you to our facility and equipment and gets you started on a new fitness regimen.
- Access to fitness areas at both the Warren Loranger Englewood and Michael & Georgia Miller Venice Branches.
- Free babysitting while working out.
- Full and varied schedule of free aerobic and fitness classes.
- Reduced fees for specialty classes and programs.
- Use of the pools in both Englewood and Venice.
- Family memberships receive discounted fees for youth fitness and sports programs.
- Open gym time for basketball.
